Kerry Bostic Johnson

Kerry Bostic Johnson, age 54, passed away peacefully, Monday, June 9, 2025 at her home in Whitmire.

She was born on August 23, 1970 in Maryland and was a daughter of Robert Bostic (Mary) and Linda Thomas (Donald).

She was a loving and supporting wife, but her proudest accomplishments were her children and being a Nana. She was an amazing mother who loved not just her children, but all children working for years as the Director of the Guardian Ad Litem program as an advocate for children. Before that, she ran a daycare in her home. She was a constant cheerleader for her children and all of their friends and teammates!

Mrs. Johnson is survived by her husband of 37 years, Todd Johnson; her children, Joshua Johnson, Kaitlyn Johnson Brock (Daniel), Andrew Johnson; her grandchildren, Aliyah Brock, Dani Brock, and Lincoln Brock; her brothers, Eddie Kuehne (Carla), Mark Bostic (MaryJo), David Bostic (Holly); her sisters, Kim Fetrow (Tim) and Emily Bostic Skorupinski (Brad). She is preceded in death by her grandson, Justen Layne Brock. She was also a second mother to many of her children’s friends as she ran the house where they all seemed to come. Some of her other “children” included Traccey Ruff, Kelsey Wilbanks, Toby Wilbanks, Cory Robertson, and Rebecca “Becca” Glymph among most of her children’s classmates and teammates.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, June 12, 2025 at 2 PM at First Baptist Church of Whitmire with Rev. Todd Johnson and Rev. Dr. Wayne Harsha and officiating, with burial to follow at Whitmire Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the church.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Grace Baptist Church, 2247 Little Egypt Road, Whitmire, SC 29178.
