Kerry Lee Lawonn, of Elcho, died on November 14, 2025 at his home under the care of his family and LeRoyer Hospice. He was 70 years old. He was born on March 19, 1955 in Milwaukee, a son of the late Gerald and Vivian (Becker) Lawonn. He married Donna Francois on September 27, 2003 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Kerry was a graduate of Hartford Union High School, class of 1973. He worked for 35 years and retired from Quad Graphics in Fernley, Nevada in 2021.
Kerry was a devoted member of the Upper Room Family Church in Elcho and loved singing on the Worship Team. He was a competition medalist in his age groups for Cowboy Fast Draw in Nevada. Kerry was a gifted trap shooter, winning many awards as a member of the Hartford Gun Club.
Kerry was a talented gunsmith. He was also an avid Harley rider, hunter, and fisherman.
In addition to his wife of 22 years, survivors include two sons, Kevin (Jenni) Lawonn of Allenton and Michael (Kelsey) Lawonn of Kewaskum; two daughters, Susan Lawonn of Allenton and Lisa Lawonn of Hartford; two step-sons, Daniel (Natalia) Plunkett of Reno, NV and Scott (Mollie) Plunkett of LakeMoor, IL; step-daughter, Katie (Bryson) Eppinger of Gages Lake, IL; two sisters, Lynn Bye of Horicon and Cynthia Koch of Decorah, IA; five grandchildren, Dylan Lawonn, Travis Graef, David Lawonn, Carson Lawonn, and Forrest Lawonn. Kerry is also survived by many extended family members.
