Salazar Funeral Homes & Crematory - Salazar MortuaryKerry Raymond Sutton peacefully passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 with the love of his life and his eldest daughter by his side.
Kerry Sutton was born on July 18, 1936, in Fallon, Nevada. He was the youngest of seven, with two older brothers and four older sisters, all of whom have preceded him in death.
Kerry spent 23 years in the Army National Guard and U.S. Air Force, retiring in 1976. He was in the airborne communications field, and was deployed to Saudi Arabia and Thailand. He was also stationed with his family in New Mexico, Illinois, South Carolina, and Germany (twice).
Kerry met his wife, Gloria, at a USO dance, and when he saw her, he immediately knew that she was the one. They were married on September 5th 1959, a happy 66 years together.
Kerry is survived by his wife, Gloria; his two daughters, Beverly and Celena; his two granddaughters, Shelby and Sarah; and his three grandsons, Brandon, B’Angelo, and Carmelo.
He was known by many names: Kerry, Ker, Dad, Buns, Bunsaroonie, Grandfadder, and Grampy. He was a dancer, a fisherman, a traveler, an artist, a trickster, and a mentor. Patient, considerate, and very caring, Kerry loved his hats, his cigars, and his Cokes.
His life is an example of how to love unconditionally, not take life too seriously, and family can be anyone your heart touches.
Kerry’s Life Celebration will begin with a Rosary to be recited on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Salazar Mortuary located 400 Third St SW, 87102. Service will begin at 1:30pm.
