Kerry Wagner, age 55 of Whittemore, passed away at his home on Wednesday, December 21, 2022. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Friday at the Divine Mercy Catholic Parish - Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in West Bend, with Burial taking place at the West Bend Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 PM Thursday at the church with a 4:00 PM Rosary.
Kerry Lynn Wagner, son of John Paul and Shirley Ann (Traub) Wagner, was born on January 28, 1967. He grew up on a farm outside of West Bend where he worked in the fields, with livestock, and worked on trucks. He attended Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School through his 8th grade year, then went to high school at West Bend Community School, graduating in 1985.
After graduation Kerry continued farming and started driving livestock truck for his Dad. Later he partnered with his Brother and established Wagner Bros Trucking and at that time Kerry signed on with Warren Transport as a driver and drove for them part time for 10 years, while he continued to farm.
Kerry was united in marriage August 2, 1986, to his high school sweetheart, Sherrie Harms. They had two children a daughter Alexandra, and a son Kody.
Kerry loved spending time with his family going on summer vacations, snowmobiling, or just hanging out with them at home. With his joy of the outdoors you could find him snowmobiling in Wisconsin or Minnesota and on the rare snow years in Black Hills or Yellowstone (and of course riding the ditches in Iowa) in the wintertime. Summers were made for "Sunday Funday" and kayaking on the West Des Moines River, boating on Lost Island, camping at local campgrounds, or Side-by-Siding around the area. But adventures in 4Wheeling and Side-by-Siding took him to the trails in Wisconsin and South Dakota. With his love of family and friends many memories were made.
Left to cherish Kerry's memory are his wife of 36 years Sherrie; children Alexandra (Jake) Lundgren of Sherburn, MN and Kody Wagner of Cylinder; granddaughters, Remington and Laney Lundgren of Sherburn, MN; mother Shirley Wagner of West Bend; siblings, Vonnie Struecker of Knoxville, Rodney (Mary) Wagner of West Bend; in-laws, Tony & Annette Girres and Bonnie Harms all of West Bend; many Nieces and Nephews and their families from Iowa, Illinois and Arizona. He was preceded in death by his father Paul Wagner; brother Kevin Wagner; and father-in-law, James Harms.
