Keryl Lynn Oelstrom transitioned to her next great adventure on December 21, 2023.
She was born on July 5, 1951. She is survived by her loving husband of 25 years James Warzon; children, Erik Koconis (Stacy Pawlowski) and Kate Koconis (Chris Henkels); grandson, George Henkels; brother, Dann Oelstrom (Kathy Oelstrom); niece, Ally Swernoff; and loving extended family and friends.
Keryl graduated with a degree in education from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Keryl worked as an executive assistant and school teacher. She taught business and computer courses to aspiring administrative assistants at MBTI and high school students for the Wauwatosa School District.
Keryl was a loving mother and wife, sister and friend. A wonderful teacher and a talented artist, skilled in the mediums of dance, piano, pottery, baking, jewelry making, gardening, crocheting, and weaving. She loved nature, drinking wine in her garden, and traveling. She was an active member of Bethany Calvary Methodist Church and her smile was always brightest when she was singing in the church choir. Her spirit and inspiration are carried on by all the people blessed by her life.
Keryl’s family is asking for memorial donations to be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association of Wisconsin (https://www.alz.org/wi/donate).
A celebration of life service will be held Jan 27 at 11am Bethany Calvary Methodist Church, 7265 W Center St, Milwaukee, WI 53210
with lunch and visitation afterwards in the church hall.
