Kessler Springer Obituary

Kessler Clay Springer, 4, of Murphy, passed away on or about Thursday, Feb. 29, 2024.
He was the son of Clay Springer and twin brother to Connor Thomas of Murphy.
Kessler was older by two minutes and lived up to being the older brother. He watched out for Connor, would bring him tissues when he cried and would bring him ice water when thirsty. Kessler was a sweet, gentle, loving boy.
He had an outgoing personality and an amazing sense of humor. He would tell you the sky was purple just to make you laugh. Kessler loved cars and trucks and trains, and he always wanted to be a fireman and save the day. He had so much fun jumping on the trampoline with his brother and friends. He loved helping around the house and participated in chores like cleaning and his personal favorite: washing clothes with Gaga.
He was preceded in death by his paternal great-grandmother, Electa Duncan; his great-aunt, Judith Hayden; and his maternal grandmother, Ellen Lyons Gremling, all of Indianapolis, Ind.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his Nana and Gramps, Anne Duncan and John Goldberg of Indianapolis; Grampa and Granny Cat and Auntie, Ken and Cathy Springer and Jan Springer of Indianapolis; Poppy, Tom Gremling of Murphy; Unkey Dave, David Gremling of Murphy; aunt and uncle, Jackie and Russ Larish of Knoxville; Gaga and Mimi, Laura and Marlene and Mr. Gary of Marble; many more loving and doting aunts, uncles and cousins; and a slew of best friends.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 10, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy. Dr. Al Heywood officiated. Burial was in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Tom Gremling, David Gremling, Pierson Hughes, Paul Logsdon, John Goldberg, Mike Lomauro, David Duncan and Chris Woods. Honorary pallbearers were his Grampa, Ken Springer, and cousins Liam and Noah Logsdon.
The family received friends from noon-2 p.m. Sunday, March 10, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home in Murphy.
