Kevin Berry, 77, of Pampa passed away on August 11, 2024 in Pampa.
Memorial services will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, August 18, 2024 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Rev. Guadalupe Mayorga, of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.
Kevin was born June 11, 1947 in New Rochelle, New York. He attended Hanover Park High School. After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served faithfully before being honorably discharged. While in the Air Force, he worked as an interpreter as he spoke four languages. Kevin earned his degree in accounting from San Diego State and went on to earn his master’s degree from Syracuse University. On June 29, 2010, he married Melvelyn Sumagang in Las Vegas. He was a wonderful husband. Kevin had a gift of talking, he could strike up a conversation with just about anyone. Due to his health issues, he was confined to his bed. He made the best of it by watching movies, reading, wood carvings, and playing on his computer. Kevin loved to have parties at his house so he could be around people to visit. He had a kind heart and always had compliments for people.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Melvelyn of the home; stepdaughter, Jefemith Baacuan of the Philippines; and a brother, Dennis Berry and wife Gennie of New Jersey.
