Kevin Bissett

Kevin Patrick Bissett, a beloved father, grandfather, and dedicated steel worker, passed away on August 7, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on October 1, 1954, in Canton, Ohio, Kevin was known for his stubborn Irish spirit and his enormous heart. He dedicated his career to Republic Steel, proudly contributing to the manufacturing industry and leaving a lasting impact on his colleagues.

Kevin was a devoted father to his daughters, with whom he loved more than anything and shared a close and cherished bond. His love for his family extended to his grandchildren, whom he adored and loved to show off to anyone who would listen.

He is survived by his daughters, MacKenzie Bissett and Devin (Dustin) Maxwell; grandchildren, Oaklyn, Cedar, Beckham, Montgomery, and one more grandson due in November; former wife, Marla Bissett; siblings, Raymond Bissett, Patty Sells, and Maureen Wilccox; and many nieces and nephews.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, Kathleen and James Bissett; brother, Michael Bissett.

Kevin had a remarkable sense of humor that brought joy to those around him. A proud sports enthusiast, he was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns, Ohio State Buckeyes, and Cleveland Guardians. He spent many days enjoying athletic activities, particularly golf, and cherished the time spent with friends and family on the course.

He will be remembered not only for his strength and determination but also for his love, laughter, and loyalty to those he held dear.
