“Kevin Brown of Decatur, IL and Midwest City, OK passed away after a short, difficult battle with cancer on July 03, 2025, at the age of 49.

Kevin is survived by his mother, Patricia Brown; his siblings Michael Brown(Betsy Brown), Ann Hargrove(Cody Hargrove), Samantha Rubsam(Cameron Rubsam); his aunts and uncles Dan Ochs, Gail Brown, Richard Brown, Bruce Brown(Theresa Brown), Kelly Lake(Troy Lake); Goddaughter Maddie Russell and special friend Tori Stolz; several beloved cousins, as well as nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Greg, brother Brian, grandparents Harold and Wilma Brown, Herman and Betty Ochs; uncles Duane and Alan; Aunts Cathy and Valerie.

Kevin was born in Springfield, IL on April 27, 1976, to Greg and Patricia Brown. He graduated from St. Teresa high school in Decatur, IL in 1994 then moved to Wisconsin to attend Marquette University. Following college, Kevin received his commission into the United States Air Force as an Air Battle Manager from 1999-2004. He was a dedicated officer, and was proud to serve his country. After completing his military service, he settled in Oklahoma City and worked for DELL, Quad Graphics, and, most recently, Bennet’s Decal, Label, and Signs.

Kevin had an incredible ability to create and maintain friendships. If you were worthy enough to be called a friend by Kevin, you were a friend for life. Just like most members of the Brown family, Kevin was extraordinarily competitive. From trivia to lawn games and from bowling to golf, Kevin was always up for a challenge and aiming to win. But in the end, he just enjoyed the time spent laughing, playing games, sharing an ice cold IPA and a movie quote with people he loved. Of course, some of his favorite memories were made with family on vacation at Moose Lake Resort in Deer River, MN.”
