Kevin Walton Carpenter, of Orlando, Florida, went home to be with the Lord peacefully on Friday, October 17th, 2025 at 51 years old. He was a very loved man, by his wife, children, family and so many friends. He will leave a void in the lives of all whom he touched. And he surely had great reach.
Kevin was born to Edward and Elizabeth Carpenter in Orlando, Florida on August 15th, 1974. He graduated from Oakridge High School in 1992 and ran Kevin's Clippings as a young man. He then followed in his father's footsteps and worked in the HVAC industry for the remainder of his life. It was his life's work to serve his customers over the years. We went from owning Kevin's A/C & Duct Cleaning which was then transitioned to Carpenter's Cooling in 2016. He lived a life of love, honor and service, he had an entrepreneurial spirit.
Kevin has a large family and is survived by many due to his untimely death. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Lacey Carpenter. He is survived by and was a devoted father to: Kyle, Lindsay, Cannon and Crew He loved and lived for his children.
He is survived by his parents, Edward and Elizabeth Carpenter, his sister Kathy VanScoter (Mark VanScoter), his sister Karen Keith and his brother Ken Carpenter (Holly Simpson.) Along with many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Kevin is predeceased by his beloved brother in law, Jerry Keith. He loved his family and was very close with them.
When Kevin was younger, he loved surfing. But for most of his adult days he had the greatest love for the hunt. He spent years and years in many different woods chasing deer, turkey and hogs. He shared that passion with his children, nephews and many fellow hunters that he called friends throughout his years.
But through it all- if he wasn't in the woods- he was on the water, throwing in a line. He is well known by many for his crafting of a tuna tower using a large ladder on the front of the pontoon boat and slaying the Cobia fish when they were running in the Atlantic. He was genius in that way and always willing to take the chance to think outside of the box. He lived a life full of adventure and fun, with a bigger than life vision.
Some of his last words were asking for everyone to Keep their Eyes on Jesus. Kevin had great faith and knew Jesus. He wants nothing more than to see all that he loved again in Heaven. Kevin fought a long warrior's battle with his cancer and he wanted everyone to get their colonoscopy.
His laugh and jokes will be so missed. He brought so much joy and love into our world. His death was too soon. He is missed more than words can say.
