Funeral services for Kevin Wayne Conner will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, November 4, 2022, at Columbia Heights Baptist Church, Columbia, LA with Bro. Joe Aguillard officiating and Bro. Steven Laughlin assisting. Interment will follow at Welcome Home Cemetery. The visitation will be held Thursday, November 3, 2022, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Columbia Heights Baptist Church.
Kevin Wayne Conner age 48, of Kelly, LA was born in Colorado Springs, CO on November 25, 1973, to the union of his parents, Kenneth Conner and Rita Cole Conner, and passed from this life, October 30, 2022. Kevin was an outgoing person who lived life to the fullest. He was a hard worker and loved his job in the logging woods, whether he was driving the skidder or the shear. He was a good mechanic, always working on something. He loved his family and friends and would do anything for them. Kevin was a country boy who enjoyed four-wheeler riding, cooking, grilling, sitting on the porch, drinking " pork-chops in a can", listening to music, building fires, and telling stories.
Kevin was preceded in death by his wife, Missy; his paternal and maternal grandparents, and his brother-in-law, Ronnie Allen. Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Kenneth and Rita; his sons: Dakota Conner (JC Kay), Mason Conner; daughters: Cheyanne Conner (Dylan Brown), Niki Harper (Zack), and Ronnie Sims (Kit); brothers: Zachariah Conner and Everett Ramsey; sisters: Stacy Cerecero and Christina Conner; grandchildren: Jude, Lucy, Lane, John Wayne, Rosie, and Cylas due at any time; nephews: Blake and Colby; niece, Amanda; great-niece, Paige; and his girlfriend, Leslie Neal, aka "Peanut". Pallbearers include Mason Conner, Dakota Conner, Everett Ramsey, Fred Bandy, Blake Wyles, Jason Moore, Dylan Brown, and Zack Rymer. Honorary pallbearers Ronnie, Niki, Cheyanne, Jude, Lane, John Wayne, Lucy, Eric Benson, and Tommy Kirl.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Riser Funeral Home, PO BOX 57, Columbia, LA 71418, to help defray funeral expenses.
