Kevin Coodey Obituary

Kevin Charles Coodey passed away January 26, 2024, in his hometown of Bakersfield, CA at the age of 43. Kevin was born to Chuck and Linda Coodey on May 15, 1980, and was deeply loved by family and friends.
Kevin, a 1998 BHS graduate, obtained his BS degree in Geology from CSUB in 2003 and worked for the Bureau of Land Management his entire 22- year career.
Kevin loved outdoor activities and working on vintage vehicles, but his passion was flying planes.
Kevin is survived by his daughters Emma (11), Alyssa (9), and Stephanie (28), their mother and his best friend Kay, his mother Linda, and his brother Ryan and sister-in-law Lorraine.
Services to honor Kevin's life will be held on March 1, 2024, at 11am at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Church.

My deepest condolences to the Coodey family!
Kevin and I worked together for many years. In those years he taught me how to real geology data. He was very knowledgeable in his Geology. He had patience and a great attitude.
We became good friends. I'm gonna miss you Kevin! RIP

Kevin was such a nice person. I was stunned to hear about his loss. I remember seeing Kevin and Kay sitting outside of Starbucks when they were dating, just talking and getting to know each other. I am so sorry for his family's loss. Love to Emma, Alyssa and Stephanie. May you all find peace with the fond memories you have in your heart.

I remember when Kevin first started with BLM. I was the Supervisor for the Minerals Division. He was a wonderful addition to our team. He was a very smart young man who quickly became proficient in his job. He had a wonderful attitude and a great smile.

I have known Kevin since he was in the third grade. Our families were the best of friends. We have gone camping and visited Hawaii with the Coodeys. I have always felt that the Coodey boys were part of my family. I am devastated by his loss.
