Kevin “Kev” J. Downe, age 61, of Rush City, passed away on November 28 after a long and courageous battle with COPD.
Kev loved being outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, camping, RC boat racing, and riding his Harley motorcycle. He also had a deep love for animals—dogs, snakes, a beloved six-foot iguana, and both saltwater and freshwater fish, along with many other exotic pets over the years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Gail Downe, and his half-brother, Dan Zellner.
Kev is survived by his wife, Dianne; son, James Downe; daughter, Kaylyn Oestreich; and grandchildren: Serenity Oestreich, Madison Puelston, Abigale Batchler, and Sadies Batchler; sister, Karin Downe; nephew, Bradley Rehbein; niece, Danielle Vandeweghe.
Memorials are preferred to the family.
