Kevin Gallup Obituary

Madison, WI - Kevin R. Gallup, 51, of Madison, WI, passed away at his home on Monday, September 15, 2025.

Kevin was born in Watertown, WI, on December 15, 1973, the son of Richard and Bonnie (Wicker) Gallup. Kevin graduated with honors from Watertown Senior High School in 1992, and was active in football, baseball, and wrestling. In 1997 he graduated from UW LaCrosse with a bachelor's degree in physics and business. He also loved playing Club Rugby during his college years. He began a very successful career in advertising sales in 2005, owning his own business, which he later sold to RTUI. He continued to work as the RTUI Regional Sales Manager and was the Top Regional Sales Manager for many years. He was very passionate about the business and mentored and coached his team each and every day.

When Kevin wasn't working, which wasn't very often, he enjoyed going to the gym at Prairie Athletic Club where he lifted weights and attended various classes. After a good workout, he liked to spend time at the pool. He played golf, pickup basketball and did some recreational baseball umpiring when time allowed. He also enjoyed snowmobiling and watching our Wisconsin teams play sports.

He especially looked forward to spending time with his family at his Uncle Dick's cabin, with the annual Fall Fest being a highlight for some good family competition geocaching, yard games and the pumpkin carving and costume contests.

Kevin loved to reminisce about all the fun events that took place in his youth and growing up. Highlights being rafting trips and hunting trips with his Uncles and spending time with friends up north. He could remember so many small little facts and interesting stories that kept his family and friends entertained. We all wish there could have been many more years to spend listening to these stories and making more memories with Kevin, he is gone too soon.

Kevin is survived by his Mom and Dad, Richard and Bonnie Gallup and his sister Lisa (Bud) Rogers and nephews and nieces, Callen, Kori, Eric and Kelly Rogers, Uncle Dick (Judy Draeger) Wicker, Janet Wicker and Dick Blotz. Cousins Joe and Molly Blotz and John and Tim Wicker. He was preceded in death by his Uncle Tom Wicker and Aunt Sue Blotz. Grandparents, Robert and Eva Wicker and Russell and Lorraine Gallup.

A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 PM on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at the Pederson-Nowatka Funeral Home of Watertown with Rev. Ray Bezanson presiding. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Kevin will be laid to rest at St. Henry's Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
