Kevin Todd Guenther, 62, of Ettrick, died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Sunday, November 16, 2025.
Kevin was born in Arcadia on June 3, 1963, to Alvin and Joan (Schank) Guenther. After graduating from Arcadia High School, Kevin attended Chippewa Valley Technical School. A hard-worker all of his life, he was proud to have built, owned and operated his own businesses; most recently Premier Powder Coating, Inc. in Ettrick, that has been serving clients for over 25 years. Kevin was deep rooted in faith and devoted to his family and community. On June 23, 2018, Kevin was united in marriage to his wife, Rita, at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church, where they were active members in the Parish. The couple blended their families together, welcoming each other’s children and loving them as their own. Kevin always said that he had 10 children and was proud of each and every one of them. In his spare time, Kevin enjoyed hunting and fishing, but mostly loved being a grandpa to his grandchildren. He was an adoring husband, devoted father and a servant to the Lord. No amount of words could ever describe his generosity and how wonderful he is, but his contagious smile and warm demeanor will be cherished in the hearts of all who knew him.
Kevin is survived by his loving wife: Rita; mother: Joan Guenther; children: Father Brandon Guenther, Ben (Brittany) Guenther, Katie (Al) Stokka, Travis (Jennifer) Lewis, Jacob (Monica) Lewis, Maria (Jeff) Knode, Mary (Antonio) Nazario, Brian Lewis, Kaelea (Sal) Digilio and Kolby Lewis; sisters: Cindy (Guenther) Lisowski, Mary (Ken) Guenther and Brenda (Guenther) Glass; grandchildren: Lucy, Michael, James, Arabella, Mariana, Jack, Emersyn, Adalyn, Brooklyn, Justin, Carson, Easton, Landon, Vanessa, Rosetta, Mathew, Noah, Shanna, Austin, Emmorie, Chase and one on the way; nieces and nephews: Katie (Max), Josh (Ellie), Guenther, Hannah (Brendon), Seth (Makenna), Logan and Kaden (Daysia); and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father: Alvin; grandparents: Albert and Irene Guenther and Ed and Monica Schank; brother-in-law: Ronald Glass; and other relatives.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 21, 2025, at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Independence with Father Brandon Guenther officiating. Family and friends are welcome for visitation on Thursday, November 20, 2025, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Wozney-Killian Funeral Home, Arcadia, where there will be a 7 p.m. public prayer service, and also one hour prior to the mass at church on Friday. Burial will be in St. Bridget’s Catholic Cemetery, rural Ettrick.
