Kevin Hughes

With heavy hearts, we announce that on January 27, 2025 James Kevin Hughes, "Kevin or Kevie," passed away. He was born on February 26, 1958 to the late John "Jack" and Margaret "Margie" Hughes. Kevin was a proud DeMatha high school graduate and received a full-ride scholarship to Limestone College for basketball. He loved sports and was a lifelong Commanders and Maryland Terps fan. Kevin loved coaching basketball, especially for his kids. He also loved lounging on the beach, listening to KC and the Sunshine Band, playing golf and spending time with his family and friends.
Kevin is survived by his wife, Tina; their four children, and their spouses, Amanda and John Chambers, Rebecca and Mariel Parrish, Patrick and Agostina Hughes and Steven Hughes; his three grandsons, Curry, Lucas and Teddy; his four siblings, Craig, Steve, Jackie and Scott, their spouses and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving sister-in-law, Carole Hughes. We will miss him forever, but we know he is happy with our Lord in Heaven.
A memorial Mass will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, 826 W. Central Ave., Davidsonville, MD on Saturday March 1 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Bo's Effort, as this cause is near and dear to the Hughes Family's Heart: WWW.BOSEFFORT.ORG.
