Kevin Kopp Obituary

Born December 25, 1934, in Chicago, IL to Gustave and Mary (Lotter) Kopp, younger brother to the late Marion (Hank) Dreger and Noreen (Brandt) Oosterbaan.
Kevin attended DePaul University, where he received a degree in physics. He worked for 35 years at GTE Automatic Electric and later started an electrical contracting business, Miko Associates, with his son Michael.
He is survived by Frances (Scardine) Kopp, his high school sweetheart and wife of 65 years, as well as their 7 children: Kathleen (Thomas) Gusloff, Kevin (Monica Babbitt) Kopp, Michael (Julie) Kopp, David (Luanne) Kopp, Gregory (Fernando Orosco) Kopp, Mary Caskey and Susan (Ken) Huster. He was 'Pops4many,' and was the best Poppy to his many grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Kevin enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, spending time at Lake Puckaway in Wisconsin and being with his family. Kevin shared a birthday with his favorite person-Jesus Christ-and never missed an opportunity to share his faith in Him with everyone. He will be remembered for his smile, his quick-witted sense of humor and his gift of making people feel special. His wisdom, unwavering love and support and his resounding baritone will be greatly missed by his family.
Kevin's wake will be held at Pedersen-Ryberg Funeral Home (435 N York St, Elmhurst, IL) from 3-8pm on Friday, January 19, with funeral mass to follow on Saturday, January 20, at 11 am at Mary Queen of Heaven Catholic Church (426 West Ave, Elmhurst, IL) PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH
In lieu of flowers, Kevin's family asks that you would make someone feel loved by doing a random act of kindness in his honor.

My dear Fran and family I am so sorry to hear if Kevin´s passing. Just the nicest man and always a smile and a twinkle in his eyes. Played horse shoes with him and of course the nasty game of golf! They are getting quite a team on that course in the sky and I know they are all having a great time. I know how heavy your heart is and the loneliness that goes along with this time of grief. Think of the good times and close your eyes and feel a hug and kiss from him and me.
