Kevin Lovan, 35, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on August 28, 2025. Born on August 30, 1989, in Cedar Rapids, Kevin was the beloved son of Ane and Somaly Lovan.

Kevin proudly worked at General Mills for several years and was known by his colleagues for his hard work and infectious spirit. A passionate Raiders and Iowa Hawkeyes fan, Kevin also found joy on the golf course. He loved cooking for family and friends, belting out karaoke (regardless of pitch), and filling every room he entered with energy, laughter, and love.

Kevin had an unforgettable personality-loud, silly, and endlessly kind. He had a gift for making others feel included, appreciated, and uplifted. Whether through a helping hand or a hearty laugh, he gave of himself freely and loved with his whole heart. His karaoke may have been questionable, but his soul shone through every note.

Kevin is survived by his loving parents, Ane and Somaly Lovan; his sisters, Kimberly (Chris) Tuetken and Katrina Lovan; his brother, Kameron Lovan; his nephews, William O'Hare (Katrina) and Ender Tuetken; and his niece, Maguire Tuetken. He is also survived by his grandmother, Yan Prom, aunt Meana (Josh) Hackman, and a large, close-knit extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Samantha An Hua Kalapuk and Lone Lovan; his grandmothers, Thong Lovan; his aunts, Deng Lovan and Chantevy An; and his cousins, Benjamin Pham and Travis Cam.

A funeral service to celebrate Kevin's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Brosh Chapel, 2121 Bowling Street SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404.

Kevin's bright spirit, unforgettable laugh, and boundless love for those around him will live on in all who knew and loved him.
