Kevin Irel Nance was born on July 28, 1954, in Ogden, Utah. He passed away from failing health issues on March 8, 2026 at the age of 71. Kevin resided in Syracuse for 25 years before making West Point his home for the past 47 years.

Kevin graduated from Clearfield High School in 1972. He then worked for RC Willey for 48 years. He was first in delivery where he met his wife, Janet. Then he went to the Freeport warehouse and then moved to the Salt Lake warehouse where he worked as a receiving supervisor. He retired in 2020.

Kevin enjoyed many different activities outdoors, including camping, hunting, fishing, and riding ATVs. He had many fond memories of rifle, muzzleloader, and archery hunting with his two sons, his brother, and his father. When he was younger, he enjoyed playing sports including church basketball and baseball. He was on several sponsored baseball and softball teams. He was on a bowling league for several years. Kevin liked watching wrestling and westerns on TV. He also loved to watch the Yankee games, especially when his daughter would root for the opposite team.

He is survived by his loving wife, Janet, and their three children: Bryan (Kristie) in West Point, Derrick (Carly) in Roy, and Heather Nance, also in West Point. Kevin was a grandfather to three grandchildren, two step grandchildren, and one great grandson. Additionally, he is survived by his brother, Gordon (Suzanne) Nance, and sister, Jolene Nance, both of whom reside in Syracuse, Utah.

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, Irel and Belva Nance, and his grandparents on both sides. He will be greatly missed by his family.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at West Point City Cemetery. 80 North 4000 West, West Point. Family and friends may visit with family prior to service from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist’s Syracuse Mortuary. 869 South 2000 West, Syracuse UT.
