Kevin Shane O'Neal, a beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away on August 9, 2025, at the age of 47, in Olive Branch, Mississippi. Born on May 8, 1978, in Memphis, Tennessee, Kevin illuminated the lives of all who knew him with his warm spirit and unwavering strength.

Kevin's journey in life was marked by resilience as he faced the challenges of muscular dystrophy. Despite these hurdles, he dedicated over 20 years to a fulfilling career at Kroger, where he held several positions until his retirement. His commitment to his work and his ability to connect with others exemplified his remarkable character.

Outside of his professional life, Kevin had a passion for scouting, an activity that not only fueled his adventurous spirit but also nurtured his love for the outdoors. His hobbies included buying and selling cars, a pursuit that brought him immense joy and satisfaction. These interests allowed him to share memorable moments with family and friends, creating lasting memories that will forever be cherished.

Kevin's family played a pivotal role in his life, and he took great pride in their bond. He is survived by his father, James O'Neal (Linda), his sisters Vickie Lynn Burks (Tony) and Amanda Dixon (Ronny), his beloved aunt Linda Nesselroad, and several nieces and cousins. Each of them held a special place in Kevin's heart, and he provided them with endless love and laughter. The warmth and support of his family were crucial to his journey, fostering a sense of belonging and purpose that defined him.

Although he is now reunited with his late mother, Barbara Sue (Paris) O'Neal and his brothers Jimmy O'Neal and Markie Edwards, who preceded him in death, Kevin's spirit will continue to live on through the lives he touched. He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and perseverance, reminding us all that true courage is measured not by our circumstances, but by how we face them.

Kevin Shane O'Neal will be profoundly missed, yet his memory will remain a guiding light for his loved ones, inspiring them to approach life with the same grace and determination that he exemplified every day. His story is one of triumph, resilience, and an enduring love that will never fade.
