Kevin was born August 7, 1959, in Newton, Kansas, to Harland Eugene and Winifred Ann (Smith) Priddle. He graduated from Nickerson High School in 1976, earned his bachelor's degree from Washburn University, and later completed the Graduate School of Banking of Colorado in Boulder, where he later taught. Kevin built a distinguished career in banking, retiring as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of The Bank NA in McAlester, where he served faithfully for more than 25 years.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Kevin believed deeply in serving his community. He was elected mayor of McAlester from 2008 to 2012 and gave nearly two decades to civic boards and organizations, working to make McAlester a place where families and businesses could thrive. His love of dogs also led him to become President of the Doberman Pinscher Club of The Indian Nation.
Music was one of Kevin's greatest joys, and he shared that gift generously. A talented guitarist for nearly 50 years, Kevin's music ranged from classical and jazz to gospel, rock, and country. He played with various bands including The Lugnuts, Step by Step, The Sunset Band, and most recently with his wife Michelle performing as Harmonic Fusion. Throughout his musical career he recorded five albums and entertained countless friends and audiences along the way.
Kevin's life was also marked by his love for family. He was a dedicated son and lovingly cared for both of his parents for years. He was a supportive brother, a proud and involved father and PopPop, and a man who passionately lived his life alongside his best friend and wife, Michelle, whom he married in 2015.
Kevin will be remembered for his kindness, his easy sense of humor, his love of music, his penchant for storytelling, his love of all animals and his unwavering dedication to others. His legacy lives on not only through the community he helped shape, but also through the family he cherished.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harland E. and Winifred Priddle; his previous wife, Dianna Lynn Priddle; and his nephew, John Harland Priddle.
Kevin is survived by his wife, Michelle Priddle; daughters, Shalerie Headley (Jon), Shalise Quinlan, and Shalaine Alexander (Keaton); step-son Tyler Moore (Heather); grandchildren, Kaliber Alexander, Mikayla Headley, Gavin Headley, Karington Alexander, Greyson Quinlan, Chanel Lunt, Trowa Sander, and Trystan Moore; sister, Valorie Dick (William); brother, Harland Priddle (Ann); along with many nieces, nephews, extended and chosen family, and friends.
