Kevin Schultz, 77 of Carroll, died Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at The Cypress of Midtown in Omaha, Nebraska.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m., Friday, July 25, 2025 at Holy Spirit Church – St. John Paul II Parish in Carroll. Burial will be at 2 p.m. in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Templeton.
A visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll with a Christian Wake Service at 7 p.m. The casket will be moved to Holy Spirit Church on Friday morning where additional visitation will be from 10:30-11:15 a.m.

Kevin, son of Carl and Dorothy (Lowry) Schultz was born February 8, 1948, in South Sioux City, Nebraska. He was raised in Manning, Iowa, and attended Manning Community School. Kevin lived in Carroll the majority of his life and, for 32 years, thoroughly loved his work in the maintenance department at the Carroll County Courthouse, retiring in 2011.
On August 12, 2000, Kevin was united in marriage with Pat Wanninger. The couple lived their entire married life in Carroll until early 2025 when Kevin moved to Omaha for health reasons. Kevin and Pat enjoyed watching movies and sports together. He had a kind and gentle soul. Mr. Rogers would have referred to him as a "Helper." Kevin loved fishing, gardening, baking small loaves of banana bread and poppyseed bread, giving it away anytime you visited them. He always looked forward to spending time with both Pat's family and his own.
Kevin was preceded in death by his parents Dorothy and Carl Schultz; his brother Byron Schultz; Pat's parents William Wanninger Sr. and Teresa Wanninger; Pat's half siblings and in-laws: Delores and Roy Lidbeck; Marilyn and Merlyn Zubrod; Billy Wanninger; Duane Irlmeier and Harry Reiman.
He is survived by his wife Pat Schultz of Carroll; sister-in-law Jean (Byron) Schultz of Helena, Montana; nine siblings: David (Karen) Schultz of Parker, Colorado; Greg (Sue) Schultz of Woodbine; Rosie (David) Jones of Tekamah, Nebraska; Rita (Jerry) Sterkel of Waterloo, Nebraska; Rhonda Schultz of Atlantic; Aaron Schultz of Omaha, Nebraska; Tony Schultz of Council Bluffs; Johna (Jeff) Belling of Omaha, Nebraska; and Terry (Martha) Schultz of Geneseo, Illinois; sisters-in-law Lois (Peter) Croghan of Manning and Teresa (Tom) Wurr of Colorado Springs, Colorado; a brother-in-law Mark (Bonnie) Wanninger of Manning; Pat's half siblings Pauline Irlmeier of Altoona and Sally Reiman of Carroll; a half sibling in-law Lue Wanninger of Manning; and by 45 nieces and nephews; 71 great nieces and nephews and 15 great great nieces and nephews.
