Kevin Schwan Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Schmidt Funeral Home - West Bend on Dec. 3, 2025.
Kevin J. Schwan, 69, of West Bend, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at Froedtert West Bend Hospital. Born March 24, 1956, in Milwaukee to the late John and Geraldine (Wardesky) Schwan, Kevin married Susan E. Rich on August 1, 1975, and together they built a loving family.
A devoted husband of 50 years, father of five, and proud grandfather of seventeen, Kevin lived his life serving others. He began his career as an auto mechanic at 18, later owning Legendary Auto before finishing his career at Briggs & Stratton. Known for his unmatched work ethic, he often spent long nights helping friends and family, providing for his children's Christian education, and never complaining.
Kevin cherished family gatherings, holidays, and time spent in Door County or on the lake. His humor, kindness, and steady presence touched everyone who knew him. Those close to him will always remember his loving phrases-"be good" and "go straight home."
Kevin leaves behind a family deeply grateful for his strength, generosity, and unwavering devotion. His legacy of service, love, and humility lives on in the many lives he influenced. May he rest in peace.
