Kevin Dean Settle
FARMINGTON – Kevin Dean Settle of Farmington, passed away May 24, 2021, at Parkland Health Center at the age of 49. He was born July 21, 1971, at Farmington to Clecy Dean and Mary Jean (West) Settle. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dalbert and Beulah Settle and Norma and Paul West.
Kevin was a 1989 graduate of Fredericktown High School. He went on to attend Nashville Auto Diesel College and Missouri Valley Lineman Constructors School where he studied to be a lineman. He worked in the utility industry for 23 years. Currently Kevin worked for J.F. Electric and in more recent years he was the Missouri Director of Operations for J. F. Electric.
Hunting and Fishing were a big part of Kevin's life and he also enjoyed "dirt biking," woodworking, bee keeping and golf. He and his family were faithful members of the Sunnyview Church of Christ. Kevin's loved ones will remember him for his kind, caring and generous nature. He never complained a day in his life. He will be sorely missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Cheri (Lange) Settle; his son, Jeremiah Settle, both of Farmington; his daughter, Cassidy (Chris) Wakefield of Ironton; his parents, Dean and Mary Settle; brother, James (Robin) Settle; favorite niece, Autumn Settle, all of Fredericktown; his father and mother-in-law, Loy and Dee Lange of Farmington and a host of extended family and good friends.
There will be a memorial gathering for family and friends on Friday, May 28, 2021, from 4-8 p.m. at Cozean Memorial Chapel. Visitation will resume on Saturday morning at 7 a.m. until the memorial service beginning at 10 a. m. in the Cozean Chapel with Pastor Tim Glasshof officiating. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Sunnyview Church of Christ in care of the funeral home.
