Kevin Duane Stanton, passed away on February 26, 2025, at the age of 59. Kevin was born on January 15, 1966, in Flint, Michigan, to Edgar Duane Stanton and Whitney Aerial (Modlin) Gilbert.
Kevin attended Davison High School. Kevin's was a machine operator at Aptar of Midland for 17 years. Beyond his professional life, Kevin was a man of many interests and hobbies. He had a passion for tinkering with anything electronic, a skill that resonated with his innate curiosity. Music played a significant role in his life, with classic rock filling his home. He particularly enjoyed listening to the melodies of The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and The Steve Miller Band. Moreover. Kevin cherished the time spent outdoors, whether it was lounging by the pool or enjoying the simplicity of tent camping.
Kevin is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Sherry Rae (Kilts) Stanton; three children, Brandy and Joshua Kapka, Amy Gaunt, and Richard and Adrienne Kilts; seven grandchildren, Cameron Kapka, Brayden Schneider, A.J. Schneider, Kayden Kapka, Raylan Kapka, Briana Kilts, and Layla Kilts; siblings, James and Michelle Stanton, Joy and Paul Reeser, Debra Stanton, and Melissa Stanton; sister-in-law, Terri and Zachary LeBlanc; many nieces and nephews; and his step-mother, Edeltraud Marx.
Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Duane Stanton and Whitney Aerial Gilbert; brother, Joseph Stanton; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Raymond and Dawn Kilts.
Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 2, 2025 at W.L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 4480 Mackinaw Rd, Saginaw, MI 48603. A funeral service will take place at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, March 3, 2025 at the funeral home, with Rev. Rob Richards officiating. Interment will take place in Roselawn Memorial Gardens following the service.
Kevin’s request was that friends and family where casual and comfortable clothing to the visitation and service.
