Kevin Kendall Sturgeon, 67, of Osgood, passed away Thursday evening at Margaret Mary Hospital in Batesville.
Kevin was born on August 29, 1958, in Milan, Indiana, the son of Harold Sturgeon and Jean (Stoneking) Gray. He was a graduate of South Ripley High School in Versailles.
Kevin spent the majority of his working years with Batesville Tool & Die, where he worked for more than 20 years. His family—his wife, children, and grandchildren—were his greatest passion and love.
He enjoyed riding his scooter and four-wheelers, watching game shows and MeTV, and spending time on projects. He played monopoly go on his phone as a favorite pass time every day all day. His favorite snack was ice cream sandwiches and a must every day. Kevin was especially proud of the work he and his wife Lori put into restoring a 1946 Dodge Power Wagon truck. He was also proud to support the Osgood American Legion.
Kevin married Lori Myers in 1988.
Kevin is survived by his wife, Lori Sturgeon; his mother, Jean Gray; his son, Derek (Amanda) Sturgeon; his daughter, Felicia Sturgeon; his grandchildren, Alex and Jacklyn; and his sister, Kim (Kelly) Harbin. Along with several nieces and nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his father Harold Sturgeon.
Kevin’s wishes were to be cremated, and no services are scheduled.
