Terry D. Wissel, 71, of Rexville passed away at 2:35 p.m., Sunday, September 28, 2025 at his home surrounded by family and friends. He was born in Batesville on October 4, 1953, the son of Albert and Angela Senft Wissel. Terry attended the New Marion Elementary School and was a 1972 graduate of South Ripley High School. He was a 25- year employee of Ohio Rod in Versailles and also farmed. Terry's true passion was farming with his draft horses and horse drawn equipment. He also enjoyed restoring old farm tractors. Survivors include two brothers Tim (Linda) Wissel of Greensburg and Ted Wissel of Rexville; three nieces Joy (Ian) Draegert of Greenwood, Christina (Brent) Wright of Plainfield, and Amanda (Eric) Capper of Greensburg; great-niece Erica Capper and great-nephew Timothy Wright. He was preceded in death by his mother on January 19, 1978 and his father on February 4, 1985. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, October 3 at 11:30 a.m. at the St. John Catholic Church in Osgood with Father Binu Mathew officiating. Burial will be in the West Fork Cemetery near Rexville. Visitation will also be on Friday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles. Memorials may be given to the West Fork Cemetery or the Interim Healthcare Hospice in care of the funeral home. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt and grateful thank you to Jake Werner, hospice, and neighbors for their wonderful care during Terry's illness.
