He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on October 15, 1943. He served in the US Navy before meeting and marrying Delane Wilson in San Diego, California. They were married for 60 years and had two children together, Charlene and Bruce.
After moving to Jacksonville, Florida, Bruce spent 45 years in the automotive business, becoming a very successful car salesman. He was well respected by colleagues, and his sales record was unmatched. He had a knack for finding the right car for each customer. He put them at ease. His jokes were legendary.
Bruce was a loving father to Charlene and Bruce, and an amazing Papa to his 5 grandchildren.
Bruce is survived by his wife of 60 years, Delane Wissel, his daughter Charlene Wissel, his son Bruce Wissel and wife Deborah, four grandsons-Marc Wissel, Gabriel Wissel, Lucas Wissel, Alexander Wissel, and one granddaughter, Alita Wissel.
Bruce's service with military honors will be held on Monday, October 20, 2025 at 10:30 am at Jacksonville National Cemetery.
