Kevin Ray Tackett

Kevin Ray Tackett, 50, of Gobles, passed away suddenly on Wednesday September 21, 2022.
He was born October 8, 1971, in Saint Joseph, Michigan, the son of Donald Tackett and Joan Lee (Garrison) Tackett.
Growing up in Southwest Michigan, Kevin was an all around outdoorsman. He enjoyed many bike rides, walking the many trails, playing corn hole and taking camping trips to Northern Michigan with his family. Most recently, Kevin was hoping to obtain kayaks so he could venture out on the water. For a short time Kevin relocated to Fletcher, North Carolina, this is where his love for sports grew even more as he quickly became a University of North Carolina Tar Heels fan! Always being a sports fan, Kevin played pitcher in college at Lake Michigan College and enjoyed bowling in earlier years. He also enjoyed spending some time in the kitchen cooking for his family. Kevin was very hardworking, always making sure his family needs were met. Most recently he was employed with Frito-Lay (Pepsico) in Paw Paw.
On April 22, 2000, he married Christina Moore Tackett who survives.
He is also survived by his four sons, Kortlend Moore, Kaden Kerns, Karsen Tackett and Kreston Tackett; five daughters, Kenley Tackett, Kambree Tackett, Kessa Tackett, Kierslyn Tackett and Klaycee Tackett; three brothers, Daryl (Julie) Tackett, Michael (Helen) Tackett and Donald (Lisa) Tackett Jr.
Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Joan Lee Tackett, step mother, Patricia "Pat" and his sister, Tammy Jagger.
Family and friends will visit Tuesday, September 27, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 502 West Michigan Ave., Paw Paw. A celebration of life will follow at Journey Family Church, 514 West Van Buren St., Gobles, on Wednesday September 28, 2022 at 1:00 pm with pastor Ron Hansen officiating. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
