Celebration of Life Service for Ms. Kiera Thomas will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026, at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Gus Thornhill's Funeral Home, 1315 Gus Thornhill Jr. Dr., East Point, GA.

Viewing: Thursday, March 12, 2026, 10:00 am - 8:00 pm at Gus Thornhill's Funeral Home.

A host of loving relatives and many dear friends will forever cherish the loving memories of Ms. Thomas.

Family and Friends are asked to assemble in the chapel at 12:30 PM.

Kiera Nicole Thomas was born to Granarldo Victez Thomas and Nina Baxter on January 9, 1993, at Grady Hospital (a Grady baby!) She passed away on February 27, 2026, at her home in Stockbridge, Georgia. The third of four girls, Kiera, affectionally known as "KeKe", grew up in Atlanta fiercely close to her sisters, Shareka, Treleka, and Megan. She was a lovely, single woman who enjoyed her life surrounded by her sisters, family, and friends.

At age 11, she joined The Greater Piney Grove Baptist Church and was baptized.

She attended and graduated from Forest Park High School. After graduation, she enrolled at Albany State College in Albany, Georgia, and after two years, transferred closer to home to Clayton State College, where she earned a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. Later, she took courses to become an educator. Upon completion of those courses, she taught history, her favorite subject, at Forest Park Middle School (Clayton County School System) for nearly seven years.

Kiera was "all in" when it came to spending time with family and friends. She adored her precious dog, Benzie, and will be remembered for her witty and sometimes goofy humor. She enjoyed hairdressing, socializing, and was a TRUE Beyonce fan – so much that she was known as "Young Yonce!"

Kiera was preceded in death by her Maternal Grandparents, James and Earline Baxter. She is survived by a host of loving family members: her parents: Granarldo Victez (Ev) Thomas, and Nina Baxter; sisters: Shareka (Antwan) Alexander, Treleka Thomas, and Megan Baxter; paternal grandparents: Gary Thomas and Mary Gray; nieces and nephews: Ethan Williams, Kyla Williams, MaKenzie Thomas, Zachariah Puckett, Parker Thomas, Jaxon Thomas, and Alaina Alexander; aunts and uncles: DeLisa (Shon) Glover, Vondala (Johnnie) Lyles, Angela Baxter, Mario Baxter, Victor Baxter, and Derrick Baxter, as well as great aunts and uncles, and a host of cousins and friends.

Kiera was well-loved and will be missed by all who met and had the pleasure of knowing her. Countless family and friends will cherish her memories and the joyful moments they shared.
