Kim Boyd Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 28, 2026.
Kim Catherine Boyd passed away peacefully at her home on February 12, 2026. She was surrounded by those she loved. Kim was a faithful and true believer in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We know she is smiling with the angels.

Kim was born to A. Philip Johnson and Katherine Wolf Johnson on March 15, 1956 in Arizona. Being the daughter of an Air Force Test Pilot, she spent her younger years traveling around including living a couple of years in Japan.

Kim went on to raise two beautiful daughters. She was fierce and did whatever was necessary for her family. She later met her future husband and four children. She worked tirelessly to bring both families together as one. Many joyous holidays and family get togethers were hosted with her great cooking. Her favorite time of the year was the family beach trip to the Outer Banks. She loved the ocean.

Kim was an amazing artist and crafter. Her imagination and creativity stimulated all around her. She especially enjoyed spending time with the children and grandchildren showing them the joy of art, gardening, and time-honored traditions.

Kim was very proud of her career. Her time as a CNA and Activities Director in the Alzheimer's and Dementia Unit at Lynn Care was especially fulfilling for her, showing amazing love and understanding for those under her care. She later went on to work many years with Valley Health in the Outpatient Rehabilitation and Wellness Center. She made many friends and loved her job, often offering up the same love she showed her family, she showed to the patients.

Kim had a deep and profound impact on her family and friends. Her beautiful smile and bright eyes will never be forgotten. All of us were fortunate to know her love.

Kim is survived by her husband Philip, her siblings Eric Johnson (Lisa), and Ingrid Bolden. Her children Gwynnavier Warrick (Vincent), Erika Soule (Chris), Andrea Bunch (Troy), Josh Boyd, Elaina Boyd, and Brooke Boyd. Grandchildren, Bianka Warrick, Leahnesse Warrick, Juelian Warrick, Ava Soule, Christian Soule, Kayden Hysong, Karsyn Bunch, and Luke Boyd. She was predeceased by her father A. Philip Johnson and mother Katherine Wolf Johnson. She is also survived by many other family members, and her precious pups-Gracie, Rosie, and Poppy.

Funeral Services will be private. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the American Cancer Society.
