Kim Alan "Kimbo" Trimble passed away on February 1, 2026, in
Bakersfield, California, at the age of 70. Born on January 4, 1956, in
Phoenix, Arizona, Kim was the youngest child of Max and Ruth Trimble. He grew up alongside his brothers, Gary Robert and Jon Leland. Although his siblings have preceded him in death, their memories remained a cherished part of Kim's life.
Kim is lovingly remembered by his son, Trevor Jon, and daughter-in-law, Nikki Trimble. He also leaves behind two grandsons, Austin James and Gage Alexander, and great-grandsons Axel James and Luke Alan. Each generation reflects the strength of the family bonds Kim held dear.
A passionate music enthusiast, Kim shared his love for music with his son, and later in life with his grandsons. Together Kim and Trevor enjoyed early mornings trying to win prizes through radio contests like "Speedy CD," often finding themselves on a "winning" streak. One memorable tradition included Kim waking Trevor on the last day of school with the song "School's Out for Summer", in which Trevor & Nikki carried this with their boys, Austin and Gage throughout their school years. Kim attended many concerts over the years and followed local bands such as Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers and Los Lobos.
Throughout his life, Kim maintained lasting friendships-some dating back to grade school. His vibrant spirit touched many lives and leaves behind a lasting impression on all who knew him.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at Adventist Health and Hoffmann Hospice for their care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kim's memory to the SPCA or a local animal shelter.
A private burial will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery, with a Celebration of Life to follow at a future date.
"Here's to Life, Kimbo." May you rest in peace.
