In Loving Memory of Kimberly "Kim" Anderson September 26, 1970 – August 8, 2025 Kimberly (Kim) Anderson passed peacefully in her sleep on the morning of August 8, 2025, while on a family vacation in West Yellowstone, Montana. Her final moments were spent in a place of beauty and peace-just as she lived her life. Kim was born on September 26, 1970, in Albany, Oregon. She grew up with her brother Eric, surrounded by family, laughter, and many trips throughout the Pacific Northwest. Her faith was a guiding light throughout her life. She was baptized on March 15, 1979, and confirmed on April 15, 1984, through the Lutheran Church. Kim graduated from South Albany High School in 1988 and began her career at Burger King, where she quickly stood out for her leadership and work ethic. She went on to earn a degree in medical transcription from Linn-Benton Community College and began working at Samaritan Albany Hospital, where she found both purpose and friendship. In 2008, Kim met the love of her life, Phillip (Phil) Anderson. Their connection was instant and life-changing. It was this love that led her to move to Portland, where she continued her professional journey at Providence Health and later at the Oregon State Medical Examiner's Office. Kim loved her work not only for its challenges but for the deep and lasting friendships it brought into her life. On September 12, 2009, Kim and Phil were married, beginning a beautiful chapter together. That chapter grew even brighter with the birth of their daughter, Elizabeth (Lizzy), on July 17, 2012. Lizzy was Kim's greatest joy-the light of her life. Kim cherished quiet moments spent with her family, especially gardening with Phil and Lizzy by her side. She gave her love freely, lived with quiet grace, and touched everyone around her with her warmth and kindness. Kim is preceded in death by her brother, Eric Jones, and her beloved aunt, Elizabeth Atkins. She is survived by her devoted husband, Phil; her cherished daughter, Lizzy; and her loving parents, Darrell and Leberta Jones of Albany. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 4:00 PM at: St. Paul Lutheran Church 17500 SW Cedarview Way Sherwood, Oregon 97140 In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Kim's memory be made to the Cat Adoption Team at catadoptionteam.org, honoring her love for animals and her generous spirit. Kim's warmth, humor, and grace will be deeply missed-but her light will continue to shine through the lives of those she loved.
