Kimberly Baldwin Obituary

LANCASTER, SC ~ Kimberly "Kim" Baldwin passed away peacefully on November 3, 2025, surrounded by those she loved after a courageous battle with cancer. Kim was known for her giving heart, her strength, and her unwavering love for others. Her fun spirit and genuine warmth made everyone around her feel cared for and loved.

Born on July 21, 1965, in Charleston, SC, to Charles "Chuck" and MaryAnn Jensen, Kim enjoyed an adventurous childhood, including a brief time living in Spain during her father's Navy service. She loved to reminisce about her travels through Europe and the memories made there. Creative and endlessly capable, she could do just about anything she set her mind to, whether it was pottery, gardening, sewing, or fixing something. Once Kim decided to learn or make something, she always found a way.

Kim married the love of her life, Frazier Baldwin, at the age of 23, and together they built a life grounded in faith and steadfast devotion through every season of life. They began their journey in Clinton, later moving to Camden, and eventually settling in Lancaster, SC, where they created their forever home on a stretch of peaceful land.

Since moving to Lancaster, Kim and Frazier found their church home at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Van Wyck, where she found strength, community, and friendships that brought her deep comfort and joy. Throughout her life, Kim's faith remained a steady foundation, and she cherished the many church families she was part of over the years.

Kim was a speech therapist by training and spent her career working in elementary education. When her own kids were young, she devoted those years to being at home with them before returning to the school setting once they reached elementary age. She spent several years teaching science as a specials course at Jackson Elementary in Camden, a role that perfectly suited her can-do spirit and endless energy, before returning to her roots as a speech therapist at Heath Springs Elementary in Heath Springs. She cared deeply for her students and colleagues and took pride in the work she did each day, retiring this past summer after a long and meaningful career.

Kim was blessed with a close circle of friends who brought her joy, laughter, and support through the years. Together they shared endless adventures at the cabin in Blair and spent countless hours on what Kim fondly called their "craftivities." Known affectionately as the "OGs" ("Our Girls"), this group shared a bond that was as genuine as it was enduring.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Blair "Frazier" Baldwin, and her mother, MaryAnn Jensen, and is now joyfully reunited with them in eternal rest.

Kim is survived by her daughter, Jessie Hoffman (Jared); her son, Frazier Baldwin; her father, Charles L. Jensen; her brother, Charles B. Jensen (Sherry); and several beloved nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her cherished chosen family, Josh and Shelly Bailey, and their children, Lily and Jagur, whom she loved as her own grandchildren. Her absence leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of all who loved her.

Visitation will be held Friday, November 14th from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Burgess Funeral Home in Lancaster, SC. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 15th at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Van Wyck, SC. A graveside burial for family will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Salem Presbyterian Church in Blair, SC.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Kim's memory to Trinity Presbyterian Church, a place that brought her so much comfort and community. Donations may be sent by mail to Trinity PCA, P.O. Box 276, Van Wyck, SC 29744, or made online at www.trinityprespca.org/giving.html
