Kimberly Sue Dougherty, age 60, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2025.
Kim was born on July 31, 1964 in Marion County, Indiana.
She is survived by her two children: son Zachary (wife Anna) Dougherty and daughter Samantha K. Dougherty, both of Cicero, IN.
She is also survived by her two special grandchildren: Riley and Khloe who she dearly loved and referred to her as “MIMI”.
Also her siblings: Christine and Michael.
Throughout Kimberly’s working career she was in charge of satellite TV programming sales operations in Canada and Mexico, dealing with all the major distributors in those countries. She also later owned and operated her own cleaning and housekeeping business.
Kimberly enjoyed many things including arts and crafts of any kind, scrapbooking and painting. She also loved to bake and cook for family and friends as well as antiquing and shopping.
Kim loved gardening, hummingbirds, butterflies, and was an animal lover, especially Boxer breed dogs.
She was the HOSTESS with the MOSTESS, as she was a loving mother, grandmother, friend and host to everyone. Everyone was always welcome at Kimberly’s house and the more the merrier. She was a second mother to all of her children’s friends and they affectionately called her MAMA KIM. She was a party thrower and people pleaser who everyone wanted to be around. Most importantly she was a loving mother, grandmother, family member and friend to many who will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.
Please join us in celebrating Kimberly’s life with a visitation on Saturday, March 29, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East Funeral Center, located at 10722 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN 46229.
Her funeral service to further celebrate her life will follow at 2:00 PM. Pastor Chase Lay of Souls Harbor Missionary Baptist Church in Frankfort, IN will officiate.
Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery where Kimberly will be laid to rest with other members of her family.
Please wear festive and bright fun colors to remember Kimberly’s fun-loving spirit!
