Kimberly Edwards, 63, passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2026. She was born on March 18, 1962, and resided in Forest City, NC, with her sister Sarah and her beloved dog, Boomer. A native of McDowell County, she was the daughter of the late Woodrow Baxter Edwards, Sr. and Priscilla Hollifield Edwards.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandy Edwards; three brothers, Timothy Edwards, Junior Edwards, and Daniel Edwards; four sisters, Elizabeth Edwards, Gloria Edwards Lambert, Linda Edwards Sisk, and Nancy Edwards Tyo; two nieces, Patricia Tyo Watkins and Deanna Edwards; and one great-nephew, Steven Edwards.
Survivors include her grandson, Cody Allen Benfield and his wife, LauraJean; two sisters, Brenda Edwards Hall (Charles) and Sarah Edwards; a sister-in-law, Evelyn Edwards; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and several cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, February 8, 2026, at 3:00 PM at the Hook & Anchor Restaurant in Marion, NC.
