Kimberly Ann Garcia

Bend, Oregon Kimberly Ann Garcia (Covey) passed away unexpectedly on February 13, 2016 in Bend, Oregon at the age of 29. Kimberly was born on December 22, 1986 to Dean and Renee Covey in Bend, OR.  She grew up on a 30-acre farm east of Bend with lots of animals and enjoyed living in the country with lots of space to run and play with her friends and family. One of her fondest memories while growing up was sitting on her father’s lap while he drove the tractor and plowed the fields. She attended Buckingham Elementary, Pilot Butte Middle School and Mountain View High School in Bend, Oregon. In December, 2011 she married Alex Garcia of Bend, formerly of South Bend, WA. The next year they welcomed their lovely daughter, Catalia.  Kimberly worked hard to be an excellent barista and server but was most passionate about helping other to look and feel their best, in 2012 she attended Phagans Central Oregon Beauty College and graduated and received her license for cosmetology. Her career included working for Exhale Spa and Laser Center and Attitudes Salon. She often helped friends and family through her passion and was a generous, loving person. Kimberly lit up a room with her infectious smile and cheerful personality.  She would be the first person to help a friend in need and was as beautiful on the inside as she was stunning on the outside. Kim is survived by her husband Alex Garcia, Daughter Catalia Garcia, and a step son Audison, mother and step‐father Renee & Dennis Gaede of Bend; siblings, Jennifer and her husband Erik Franks of Eugene, OR and Ryan and his wife Rebecca Covey of  Bend, OR and many special aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many lifelong friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Dean Covey, her grandparents Patty and Reynolds Morgan, Burley and Mary Covey and cousins Jon Norman and Shelly Zumwalt. A funeral is scheduled for 12:00pm Saturday February 27th at New Hope Church in Bend OR and a Celebration of Life will follow immediately after the service at the River House Convention Center. Pastor Andy Purscelley will officiate the service and Pastor Jeff Cole will officiate her Celebration of Life and burial.  Kim will be laid to rest at 11:00 am, on Sunday the 28 ,​at the Pilot Butte Cemetery. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Kims life. Her family would like to thank BestCare for their services and dedication to her life.
