Kimberly A. King

Kimberly Ann King (nee Carroll) age 63 of Elyria, Ohio passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026 after a long battle with cancer. She was born on August 14, 1962 in Elyria to parents Charles Carroll and Mary Carroll (Fugitt).

Kim was a very caring person. She used this caring nature to go to nursing school and work as an STNA. She spent 31 years in the and eventually attended nursing school. She graduated from nursing school in September of 2021. Kim was incredibly dedicated to her work and loved helping people.

Kim had many passions in her life. She enjoyed traveling, going on many cruises with her eldest son, Jeremy. She always wanted to visit Paris, but sadly never got the chance. Kim liked to ride on the back of motorcycles whenever her friends would come over with one. Above all else, Kim was an incredibly loving grandmother. Her grandchildren were her whole world.

Kim will always be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor. Countless family members and relatives share stories of the smiles she brought to their faces. Throughout her work as an STNA, patients often commented on how she could brighten their day and lift their spirits with her humor. Her friends and family will deeply miss her gregarious laugh, her warm smile, and the joyful presence that made everyone around her feel happier simply by being near her.

Kim is survived by her dear children Jeremiah (Jessica) Smith, Christopher Smith, Michael Smith, Brianna (Bruce) Johnson, and Zakariah King; her loving siblings Barb Fitz, Diana Horvath, Jennifer Whitehead, and Vicki Carroll; her cherished 19 grandchildren, as well as many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles Carroll and Mary Fugitt.

A visitation for Kim will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Busch Funeral Home,114 Second Street, Elyria, Ohio, 44035. Kim will be laid to rest at Brookdale Cemetery following the visitation.
