Kimberly Dawn (Burgess) Ooten, 57 years of age, departed this life on September 21st at Logan Regional Hospital. She was born September 9th, 1968.
She was the daughter of Glenna Burgess and the late Elzie J. Burgess. She is survived by mother Glenna Burgess, daughter Layla Ooten, son Emile Galaska, step-son L.C. (Julie) Ooten, grandsons Brady and Benjamin and children, sister Kathy (Richard) Cope, and brother Michael (Kristy) Burgess.
She was a 1986 graduate of Logan High School. Kim worked at the public defender's office for 15 years before she retired.
Services will be on Thursday, September 25th, at Akers Funeral Home-- visitation is from 12:00 to 1:00, the funeral is at 1:00. Ralph Perry will conduct the service. The burial is at Highland Memory Gardens.
The pallbearers will include: Emile Galaska, Michael Burgess, Art Kirkendoll, Bobby Kirkendoll, Richard Cope, and Lantz Rankin.
