Kimberly Ann (Hildebrand) Paulsen passed away December 7, 2025, at the age of 57. Born December 7, 1968 to Gordon and Glenda (Ragsdale) Hildebrand in Stafford, Kansas.

Kim attended Stafford Public Schools and graduated in 1987. Kim excelled in Sports and Music and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church choir. Kim attended Kansas State University where she was a member of the K-State Choir and pledged to Pi Betta Phi. She made several lifelong friends from both organizations. Kim was always ready to lead in what needed to be done during these growing years, and it carried over into her adult life. During her four years at K-State she studied music and Family studies. She remained a K-State fan her entire life.

Family studies became her career and started working at Bob Johnson's Youth Shelter after graduation. Later she accepted a position with Reno County Community Corrections and remained with Reno County as a Probations Officer for over 30 years. Kim was passionate about Reno Drug Court and was a founding member creating Drug Court of Kansas. She truly cared and always gave 110% to her clients to help them have a future.

Kim married Chris Paulsen the love of her life on December 18, 1993, in Stafford Kansas. They would have been married for 32 years. From this Marriage came two Children, Tristin Paulsen and Holly (Paulsen) Sterneker,and granddaughter Nellie Sterneker.

She served on the Stafford School Board and was President of the Booster Club while Tristin and Holly were in school. Always the go to person for organizing any school activity that needed direction and always there to cheer on whatever sport Tristin and Holly might be playing. She was always there for family or friends needing planning, Weddings, showers, reunions, whatever the occasion Kim could make it happen.

Cherished family members include her husband: Chris Paulsen, Children: Tristin Paulsen of Hutchinson, Holly (Paulsen) Sterneker (husband Branden and granddaughter Nellie) of Goddard. Mother: Glenda (Ragsdale) Hildebrand of Lawrence. Brother: Joe Hildebrand (Marla) of Overland Park. Sister: Sasha (Sarah) Hildebrand of Iowa City, Iowa. Father and Mother-in-law: Steve and Patricia Paulsen. Sister-in-law: Stephani (Paulsen) Booker (Mark). Sister-in-law: Lisa King (Aaron), Many Nieces, Nephews and Greats.

Preceding her in death are Father: Gordon Hildebrand, Grandparents: Bud and Jean Ragsdale, Grandparents: Herman and Lucile Hildebrand. Neice Keisha Sisk.

Funeral services will be 10:30, Saturday, December 13 at Minnis Chapel, Stafford, Kansas.

Visitation with family will be 5-7 p.m. December 12 at the chapel.

Suggested contributions in memory of Kim can be made to the Reno County Drug Free Alliance., in care of Minnis Chapel, Stafford. Absolutely Flowers of Hutchinson is providing the family flower arrangements.
