Joseph Kupecki Obituary

Published by Legacy on Dec. 14, 2025.
Joseph Eugene Kupecki, known affectionately by all as Joe, was a beacon of light and love to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. Born on January 22, 1940, in Kansas City, Missouri, Joe was a man whose life was characterized by his faith, his boundless creativity, and his generous spirit. On December 9, 2025, Joe passed away in Round Rock, Texas, leaving behind a legacy of love and inspiration.
Joe's journey through life was marked by a profound commitment to his family, his country, and his God. He was a very devoted husband to his beloved wife, Karen Kupecki, and a loving father to his daughters, Michelle Kupecki Lent, Brandi Kupecki Iglesias, and Kara Kupecki. The joy of his life was further multiplied by his adored grandchildren, Kelsey (Cory) Lent Ronald, Hunter (Chantelle) Lent, Nevaeh Kupecki, and Miccaa Iglesias, his great-grandchildren Palmer Lee Lent, Emmalee Grace Ronald, Ozzie Jolene Lent, Bennett Steven Ronald and Heaven Lucia Smith, his brother Richard Lee Kupecki, each of whom he cherished deeply.
After completing his education at the University of Kansas and Kansas State University, Joe proudly served his nation in the United States Air Force. His service was a testament to his love for his country and his dedication to the principles of freedom and democracy. Beyond his military service, Joe was a pillar in his community and always ready to lend a hand.
Joe gave freely, not just of his resources, but of his time, his talents, and his heart. Those who knew Joe would describe him as someone who always cared and wanted to help others. Joe's presence was a warm embrace, and his legacy is one of selfless love and service. Joe's biggest passion was sharing his Christmas Villages every year with the community from Thanksgiving through New Year's Eve. He loved seeing everyone light up as they viewed the Villages and told him about their Christmas traditions. He loved to share about the different sections of the big Village and telling them about the Bethlehem Village in our front window. And last, but not least, giving the children candy canes before they left.
While our hearts are breaking at his passing, we also rejoice in the knowledge that he is no longer in pain and is now in the presence of God.
There will not be a funeral, however, we will have a Celebration of His Life at a later date to be determined.
