Kim Scheller, a vibrant and kind-hearted soul who touched the lives of many, passed away on March 10, 2026, at the age of 62. Born on June 2, 1963, in Indianapolis, Kim brought warmth and joy to everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her journey through life was marked by her unwavering spirit and boundless love for others.
For 43 years, Kim dedicated herself as a Quality Assurance Engineer at Rolls-Royce North America, a testament to her industrious nature and commitment to excellence. She was proud of her education, having graduated in 1986 from General Motors Institute (GMI).
Kim was known not only for her professional accomplishments but for her loving personality. She would do anything for anyone, always ready to lend a helping hand. Her love for her dog, Emmy, was like a beacon of her nurturing spirit. She cherished the time spent visiting friends and family. Once you met Kim, you had a friend for life; she had an incredible energy that lit up every room she entered. She was a member of Third Church of Christ, Scientist in Indianapolis.
A true sports enthusiast, Kim found joy in cheering for the Pacers, Colts, Fever, Reds, and Purdue. Each game was an opportunity for her to connect with family and friends, reveling in the shared excitement and camaraderie.
Kim is survived by her beloved husband, Robert (Rob) Scheller, brother, Timothy (Tim) Yarling, sister-in-law, Chiharu Yarling, and father Robert (Bob) Hallam, along with in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews who will remember her fondly for her compassion and warmth. Close friends will also hold her memory dear, reflecting on the laughter and joy they shared together.
Kim was preceded in death by her father, Timothy L. Yarling, and her mother, Jeanne Hallam.
A visitation will be held on March 13, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Flanner Buchanan - Speedway Funeral Home in Speedway, followed by a funeral service at West Ridge Park Cemetery starting at 12:00 PM. All are invited to join in honoring the remarkable life of Kim Scheller, whose legacy of friendship, love, and energy will forever resonate in the hearts of those she touched.
