Timothy Allen Proctor, age 79, of North Salem, Indiana passed away on March 9th, 2026, peacefully at his home. He dedicated six years in the United States Air Force and led a successful career of 30 years at Allison Transmission/Rolls Royce/General Motors. For the last 27 years, he has been checking boxes off his dream list and following his passions, with the most important being farming. Tim enjoyed working in his shop, woodworking, building bird houses, and happily taking on any project his wife requested, making her dreams come true, too. In his downtime, you would find him sitting on the porch enjoying the birds or watching a western.
Tim met the love of his life, Juli, on July 4th, 1999, and they were married just three months later. Their biggest “arguments” were over who loved the other more or who could beat the other to the next chore. Throughout their entire marriage, they never spent a single night apart. Even with all his hospital stays she slept right next to him. As his deteriorating health stole him away and secluded him from the outside world he never veered away from wanting Juli right by his side-even if meant going to bed at 5:30 pm she would stay right by him. Tim never stopped appreciating life’s small joys like the birds outside, the trees or sharing a bowl of ice cream with two spoons. Tim and Juli shared a special love that lasted to his final moments. A love that cannot be fully captured in words.
When asked about Tim, you often hear him described as the best husband, dad, and papaw. He was the most genuine, selfless, caring, kind, honest and slow to anger gentleman who never complained about anything. He stepped into roles that not many can and he did it proudly with a full heart.
A celebration of life will be held on March 14th from 3:00-5:00 pm at MCL in Avon, Indiana.
