Kimberly Moran Smith, 38, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023. She was a native of Guilford County and the daughter of David and Katherine Painter Moran.
Kimberly was a loving and genuine person. She was gracious with her time and energy, and always made those around her feel welcomed and loved. She had an infectious happiness and would light up any room she was in. Kimberly was a cherished daughter, a wonderful sister and devoted mother who worked tirelessly to give her children a good life. Kimberly worked at the Scott’s Miracle-Gro Company, where she was most recently the Talent Scout supporting the Northeast region of the Field Sales Team. In a testament to her hard work and ability, earlier this year she received multiple service excellence awards including Rookie of the Year. Kimberly will be missed tremendously by everyone who had the good fortune of knowing her. Her memory will continue to inspire courage and love in the hearts of those she has departed.
She is survived by her children, Hannah Marie Smith, Adam Michael Smith and Skylar Grace Smith all of the home; her parents, David and Kathy Moran of Burlington; her sister, Kristin Nicole Berrier and her husband, Justin of Curacao and her nephew, Jasper Wayne Berrier; her paternal grandfather, Paul Moran of Virginia; her aunt, David and Karen Boling of Concord, NC; her cousins, Nathaniel and Jon Boling of Concord, NC. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Charles and Mae Painter and her paternal grandmother, Mary Moran.
The service to celebrate Kimberly’s life will be held at 3:00PM on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at Harvest Baptist Church by Pastor Daniel Webster and Pastor Walter Webster. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
