It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear sister, Kimberly Maria Smith (“Kim” as she was affectionately known), age 64, of Amesbury, MA, who passed early morning on November 10, 2025 at Masconomet Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Topsfield, MA after a period of declining health.

Born in Winthrop, MA on February 5, 1961, Kim was one of four children of the late Ernest C. and Elizabeth (Heffron) Smith. After graduating from Saint Rose High School, Kim obtained an Associates Degree from Bunker Hill Community College in Charlestown, MA.

Kim was a long-time employee of the John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Company in Boston, working her way through the ranks to become a Senior Image Analyst prior to retirement. Kim truly loved her family and never missed a birthday. She was an avid reader, with a lifelong love of both American and European history. Kim’s knowledge of vintage television trivia was unmatched, and something in which she took great pride. A passionate advocate for animal welfare, Kim never missed an opportunity to support local animal shelters. Her own rescue cat, Augusta, was one of several animals Kim nurtured and loved over the years.

Kim is survived by her brother Frederick Smith and his wife Mary of Amesbury; twin sister, Paula (Smith) Reilly and her husband, Kevin of East Bridgewater; brother-in law, John D. Clifford, Jr., husband of her late sister Patricia A. (Smith) Clifford; three nephews, John D. Clifford, III, of Dover, NH; Patrick Clifford and wife, Amanda of Seabrook, NH; Daniel Reilly and wife, Alyssa of Scituate; and only niece, Erin Giedt and her husband, Randy of Needham, along with a grandniece, grandnephews and several dear friends. The memories Kim has shared with her friends and family will forever live in the hearts of those she loved.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025, from 9:45 A.M. to 10:45 A.M. at Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury, MA, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 A.M. at St. Joseph’s Church of St. Andre Bessette Parish, 2 School Street, Amesbury. Following the Funeral Mass, family and friends will process to Woodlawn Cemetery, 302 Elm Street, Everett, MA where Kim will be laid to eternal rest beside her parents. Memorial donations may be made to the MSPCA Animal Care and Adoption Center, 350 South Huntington Ave, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130 (https://www.mspca.org › Adoption Centers) an organization that was very dear to Kim’s heart.
