Kimberly Weiner, 55, of Plano, Illinois, passed away peacefully on April 22nd, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Kim was a proud 1988 graduate of Franklin High and went on to earn her college degree from Arizona State University before embarking on a remarkable 32-year career with Hallmark Cards. As a National Training Manager, Kim led the vision and launch of the Global Merchandising Services Virtual Classroom, which positively impacted thousands of Hallmark employees. Over her career, Hallmark recognized her success 9 times with the R.B. Hall award.
For the past 20 years, Plano has been home to Kim and her family, where she became a cherished member of the community. Above all, Kim was a devoted and loving mother to her three boys. She poured her heart into them, whether cheering from the sidelines at their games, supporting their dreams, or offering a listening ear. Kim's greatest joy was watching her sons grow into the remarkable young men they are today.
Kim's life was a testament to her unwavering faith. She was a devoted member of St. Patrick Parish where she was on the parish council and finance committee. Kim was president of the parish St. Vincent de Paul Society dedicating countless hours to supporting those in crisis and always extending a helping hand. Her work has touched countless lives and will continue to inspire for generations to come.
Kim lived by the words of St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta: "Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier."
Those who met Kim can attest that she embodied this spirit every day. Her radiant kindness, gentle strength, and joyful presence brightened the lives of all who met her. Kim's legacy is one of love, service, and hope. She was deeply loved by her family and will be missed beyond measure by all whose lives she touched.
She is survived by her sons, Brad, Brandon, and Brent Weiner of Plano, Il; parents, Richard and Bonnie Riederer of Oconomowoc, WI; sister and brother-in-law, Michelle and Michael Lamp of Phoenix, AZ; brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Heidi Riederer of Westminster, CO, and nephews Justin Meister, Nathan Lamp and Jensen Riederer.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick Parish - 406 Walnut St, Yorkville, IL. A luncheon will follow.
