Kimble Earl Howard

Funeral services for Kimble Earl Howard, age 83 of Tyler, Texas, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 12, 2026, at the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home Chapel in Lindale, Texas. Officiating will be nephew, Bro. Byron Howard. Family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at Hopewell Cemetery in Lindale.

Kimble passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2026, in Tyler. He was born on January 28, 1943, in Tyler to the late Harvey Paul and Ruth Ora (Swan) Howard. Kimble served his country in the United States Army and was a member of Central Baptist Church in Lindale. He was a lifelong resident of Tyler where he worked as a mechanic at the family business, Howard's Exxon on Gentry Pkwy. He had a true passion for cars, particularly his red and white 1961 Corvette. Kimble was preceded in death by his brother, Jerome Howard.

He is survived by his son, Robert Howard and wife, Renea of Tyler; his longtime companion, Tammy Ruddy of Tyler; sister, Paulette Cole and husband, Ronnie of Mt. Sylvan; niece, Julie Morris and husband, Gab of Amarillo; grandchildren, Brandon Howard and wife, Amanda of Mineola, Wyatt Howard and wife, Kailee of Mineola, Josh Ellis and wife, Jessi of Tyler, and Arial Ellis of Tyler; great grandchildren, Brayden, Kaitlyn, Bently, Brooklyn, Skylynn, Adelynn, Magnolia, Sammy, Abby, and one on the way, and numerous other loving family members and friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Wyatt Howard, Brandon Howard, Brayden Howard, Josh Ellis, Billy Hughes, and Paul Chlapek.
