Kimily Buxton Obituary
Kim shares her birthday with her twin sister, Kit. She was a lifelong resident of DeQuincy, graduating from DeQuincy High School in 1981. In 1986 she married Dennis "Demp" Buxton.
She is survived by her husband, Demp; children, Cody Buxton (Stephanie), and Chelsie Buxton; grandchildren, Blaire LeBlanc (Garrett), Kennedy Buxton, and Kobey Buxton; great grandchild, Reeve LeBlanc; siblings, Raymond Cooley (Pat), and Kit Spinelli (Don); her fur babies, Pistol and Jed; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Cruse and Margaret Cooley; siblings, Ronald "Toup" Cooley and Pamela Cooley; and nephew, JJ Cooley.
Pallbearers are Kobey Buxton, Garrett LeBlanc, Logan Buxton, Grayson Buxton, Garrett Cooley, and Raymond Lynn Cooley. Honorary Pallbearers are Jordan Cooley and Kade Buxton.
Family will receive friends from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m., Monday, February 16, 2026, with the service being held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at First Baptist Church, DeQuincy, Louisiana. Interment to follow at Good Hope Cemetery, Singer, Louisiana.

So sad to hear of this. Kim. Kit and I grew up together and attended the sane church at First Baptist. My condolences to her family. I'm glad to have known her.
