King Lamar Hunter

King Lamar Hunter, 2 months, passed away on December 27, 2025 at Atrium Health Charlotte.

He was born in Gaston County on October 28, 2025, to Okeem Hunter and Shyla Whitworth. He was preceded in death by his great-grandfather, Charlie Stiles; uncle, Jason Hughes; aunt, Za-Myah Judge.

Though Kings time with us was short, his life will be remembered for the life changing impact he had on his parents. The joy he brought to the lives of his family will never be forgotten.

He is survived by his parents, Okeem Hunter and Shyla Whitworth; grandmother, Jamie Stiles; godmother, Brianna Robbins; aunts, Deiana Robbins, Airyana Turner, Jenny Hunter, Tyrissa Hunter, Kyrisa Hunter, Emily Robbins, Crystal Hunter; uncles, Mark Gillespie, Coop, Chaslin Wilkes, Za-Muney Judge, Kayden Whitworth, Korzane Wilkes, Ralph Hunter, Nae Nae Leach, Billy Robbins; great-grandparents, Martha Styles, Dolly Hunter, Matt Whitworth, Otis Hunter, and Pooh.

Family and friends will gather for visitation at from 1-2 pm on Monday, January 5, 2026 at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will follow at 2pm in the chapel with Pastor Darin Gibbs officiating.
