Kira Lynette Siebrand Welch
Kira Lynette Siebrand Welch was born on June 7, 1981, in Scottsdale, Arizona, to Pete and Becky Siebrand. After a courageous five-year battle with illness, Kira passed away on March 4, 2026, in Kansas.
Kira was a lover of the arts, especially music and dance. She trained for ten years under Mary Moe Adams of the Royal Academy of Dance and performed in The Nutcracker with Ballet Arizona for several years. She also attended summer intensives with Ballet Aspen’s Summer Program in Aspen, Colorado.
Kira had a special love for children. She spent many summers as a camp counselor at Orme Summer Camp in Mayer, Arizona, where she guided and taught children skills such as horseback riding, rappelling, hiking, survival skills, cooking outdoors, and swimming.
Kira attended Mesa Community College and completed two years at Arizona State University. She also became a licensed medical insurance agent, helping others navigate their healthcare options.
She worked for twenty-five years in the food industry as a server and lead bartender, known for her strong work ethic and dedication, often working long shifts. Ten of those years were happily spent at Vito’s Italian Restaurant, where she was a valued coworker and a favorite among regular customers.
Kira had many interests and hobbies, including gardening, horseback riding, camping, swimming, and photography. She loved entertaining, dancing, listening to music, and spending time with friends and family.

Welch; her big sister, Gina Siebrand; her younger sister, Mackenzie Smith; her brother-in-law, Garrett Smith; her grandparents, Gene and Cindy Rayburn; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and friends.
